The CQ-Communications Server™ provides remote users with 3780 Bisync connectivity over TCP/IP lines to IBM® hosts and mainframes. The solution eliminates the need for a Front End Processor and the associated high monthly lease charges for the FEP and emulation protocol software.
ATLANTA, GA, August 1, 2000 -- CQ Computer Communications, Inc. announced today that it is releasing its newest connectivity solution, the CQ-Communications Server. This solution combines CQ’s 3780 software, a CQ-Sync™ adapter card, and customized scripts to provide 3780 Bisync access to IBM® hosts and mainframes.
In today’s fast-paced business world, cost-effective solutions that provide users large amounts of information on a timely basis are a necessity. In many cases, this information is stored on IBM mainframes or hosts such as the popular S/390® systems. Most of these systems also require costly Front End Processors (FEPs) and emulation protocol software.
However, with the CQ-Communications Server, there is no need for costly FEPs as well as the associated emulation protocol software, equipment, and leases that are required by IBM. CQ’s Communications Server solution provides the same functionality as FEPs for 3780 Bisync access to IBM hosts through TCP/IP connections - at a fraction of the cost!
