Terminal emulation products provide Windows XP users cost-effective and reliable synchronous host communications.
ATLANTA, GA, July 1, 2002 -- CQ Computer Communications, Inc. announced today that its new version of Windows® 32-bit host connectivity solutions are fully compliant with the new Windows XP operating system. This announcement comes with the full release of the Windows XP operating system by Microsoft® Corporation. CQ’s previous versions of Windows software products will continue to support Microsoft’s other 32-bit operating systems, including Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT®, and Windows 2000.
Windows 32-bit terminal emulation software products offered by CQ include CQ-3770®, CQ-3780®, and CQ-3270®. These IBM® emulation products offer flexibility through multiple connection types such as remote dial-up, dedicated leased line, Token Ring, Ethernet, and other high speed connections.
The most robust and cost-effective connection type for remote dial-up communications under the Windows XP operating system involves the unique AutoSync™ 2 feature available in Hayes™ modems such as the OPTIMA™ 56K External, OPTIMA 56K Internal, and OPTIMA 336 External. CQ’s AutoSync 2 solutions are different from other host communications solutions in that CQ’s products provide synchronous connectivity to IBM mainframes and hosts without the need to install a costly internal synchronous adapter card at the PC end. CQ/AutoSync 2 solutions save users up to 35% when compared to adapter card based solutions.
For legacy Bell 201/208 dial-up applications at speeds between 2400 and 4800 bps, CQ offers reliable adapter card based solutions with the CQ-Sync100™ PCI adapter card. The CQ-Sync200™ PCI and CQ-Sync300™ PCI adapter cards offer support for high-speed applications involving DSU/CSUs and similar hardware.
